It’s hot. It’s dry. And it’s getting harder to access food in the city and suburbs because of the high cost. I went to the market today to buy some traditional vegetables. The veggie bunches were too small to be categorized as a bunch. The vendor was unbothered about whether I would take the vegetable or not. It didn’t matter because if I left, where would I get it at a lower price?
After buying the traditional vegetables, I went in search of pumpkins. By now, you know pumpkins, especially the seeds, have great medicinal benefits. I kid you not; roasted pumpkin seeds are on another level compared to other snacks. They are simply delicious!
Ok. I didn’t buy a pumpkin because it was too expensive. In place of pumpkins, I took three sweet potato tubers. It was all the money I had with me. Growing big, beautiful, and healthy pumpkins in my garden is my new year’s resolution!
